Free upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista? Yeah! You heard it right. But looks like I’m gona disappoint you a little bit. The free upgrade is only applicable to limited users and not all of us. So here’s how it’s going to work out. If you purchase a computer preinstalled with Windows Vista anytime between July 01, 2009 & ‘yet to be announced date’ then you will be eligible for a free Windows7 upgrade from Vista. The systems eligible for upgrade include: Vista Home Premium, Vista Business edition and Vista Ultimate. The following upgrade paths are possible:

Nokia Launches 5800 XpressMusic, its First Touch Interface Phone

Nokia is no doubt one of greatest mobile manufacturer in the world. Well, they have proved this yet again by launching a new cell phone- Nokia 5800 XpressMusic in its line. Its the same Nokia tube which was rumored long time back. Nokia has launched the 5800 XpressMusic in Taiwan as part of the limited number of countries who will get to receive the company’s touch screen phone this year. This is the first phone with full touch interface from Nokia.

Take an X-Ray with a Scotch Tape!

Researchers keep coming up with new stuffs every now and then. This time researchers at UCLA have come up with something that really kept me stunned. They revealed that Scotch tapes can be used to take X-rays. Well, it may sound simple but the fact is that none of us knew this simple thing.
The process is pretty simple, you too can do it. All you need to do is put a roll of tape in a vacuum, slowly unpeel it, and stick your finger on the thing with some film behind it, you’ll get an X-ray. Woah! is it that simple? Yeah!

Half-Life 2: Episode Three by This Year End?

I know most of you Half-Life fans are eagerly waiting for an Episode three. Looks like Lombardi just let the cat out of the bag. Well, it’s not really a cat but just a kitten. Windows 7 Features

Windows 7 is the latest buzz these days. The new operating system by Microsoft will be the successor of Windows Vista. Microsoft has also confirmed the name of the new operating system will be Windows 7 itself. But unfortunately Microsoft hasn’t revealed any detailed information regarding the features of Windows 7. However, here are some of the features which you will see introduced with Windows 7:

Changes to UAC:
You won’t see the crappy UAC that you saw in Vista. The UAC in Windows 7 will be less chatty than its precursor in Vista, while at the same time being a lot less confusing. The tests Microsoft conducted with the Windows 7 User Account Control indicated that 83% of respondents understood the information presented to them in the dialog box. Windows 7 will introduce a control panel setting which provides a ‘slider’ and 4 different settings for the UAC, essentially ‘most annoying’ to ‘least annoying’.

FM Radio Tap- Taps Can Sing too!

Bathroom singers are you’ll listening? Well, here’s something of your interest. It’s a tap with a FM Radio! If you look at the tap you might find it pretty ordinary. Well, don’t forget that looks can be deceiving! The tap can be mounted on any bathroom slab. It’s water proof too despite of having a radio within it, you don’t have worry about water splashes.

E-Ball Rolling Projector PC Concept

Here’s an awesome pc concept known as E-Ball designed by Apostol Tnokovski. Looks like he just said “balls” to current generation pcs. As you can see in the below pic, the E-Ball pc is a spherical PC concept. It stands on legs that emerge from its underside and is just 6 inches in diameter. It features a projected display screen and keyboard. Wait a sec! What about the mouse? Well, you don’t need to worry about the mouse, there’s an optical mouse attached to E-Ball which can be detached for use. So, if you carry this ball you don’t really need to carry a keyboard, monitor and a mouse. Oh boy! That sounds like a portable desktop. Isn’t it?

Wazakura Koubou Japanese Gold Plated Keyboard

Like Gold? Well most of us do, even if we don’t we still desire for it simply because of its value. Nowadays we get to see a lot of gold plated gadgets, here’s one such. This time it’s a Gold plated keyboard manufactured by Wazakura Koubou, Japan. The keyboard comes with a two-port USB hub and the keys are apparently made from 99.99% pure gold.
