How to Reset Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) 2011 Trial

Download and install Kaspersky Internet Security 2011. Activate using trial license. You can use the trial license for 30 days. After it expires, you can extend the trial license. There are two ways how you can do this:

a. By using registry keys:

Disable Kaspersky Self-Defense by going to Settings> Advanced Settings. Click Apply and OK to save settings.

Exit Kaspersky.

Download the registry file from here- (32bit/ 64bit) depending upon the software. This will reset the trial period.

Double click the registry file and click ‘Yes’ when you get a pop up.

Now start KIS 2011 and Activate the Trial License.

b. Using KIS 2011 Trial Resetter:

Again for this method you need to first disable Self defense by going to Settings and click on the box option to go to advanced settings.

On the left hand side you should see Self Defense. Click on it and on the right side uncheck ‘Enable Self-Defense’
Click Apply and Ok. Exit Kaspersky.

Download KIS 2011 reset tool and run it.

Click on the Reset Kaspersky button. That’s it! Now, you may activate a new trial license.

NOTE: This Resetter works for all Kaspersky 2010 and 2011 products.

Well, if you love musical instruments and you own an Apple device then you might be curious to know what apps they are using. I just figured out the list, here it is:

I came across a software known as Browser Cleaner that helps you to clean browsing history of several browsers in one shot. I use three web browsers at the moment- Chrome, Firefox and Opera. This tool is really handy and saves a lot of time for me. Using this tool you can delete download history, browsing history, cache, cookies, etc.

I came across a software- RunWithAffinity that actually makes a program to run on a single core. Now you might be wondering why would anyone do this. Well, the answer is simple. If a program is assigned to run on a single core then it will run slow but this also means that the other cores are idol. The program won’t use all your system’s CPU time. This will help to manage background and foreground processes with ease. So, in short it uses the disadvantage as an advantage.

For instance, if you have a large number of background processes that are running on your system, then you could allocate them to run on a single core, say Core 1. The other cores will remain free to run more important foreground applications.

This software is also helpful if you aren’t able to start some old game as it cannot make use of all cores then you can use this software to force the game to run on a single core.

I downloaded and installed Opera on my iPhone 2G and found it to be really awesome. It was definitely a great choice over Safari when it came to speed. Moreover, there were several exciting features that I noticed. The speed dial feature and tabbed browsing feature was really great. The settings page was pretty neat and easy to use. Now, that I have spoken about all the pros I would like to point out one major drawback. I found that scripts don’t well sometimes and sometimes page doesn’t display properly. But, I guess we should give them enough time as it’s the first version and I’m sure that they will release better updates that will eliminate the cons.
