Halo 3 Video Game Pre-Orders Cross 1 Million

The long anticipated Halo3 being to close from the hands of gamers, has already exceeded one million pre orders. Microsoft is taking many steps in order to promote the game; they are also offering a number of different products to help coincide with the launch of Halo 3. Various special editions of the game are being offered like Halo3 Zune edition, Xbox controller, Headset, etc. Halo 3 is expected to be released in late September.

Mutual funds become richer by $20 billion

Domestic mutual funds have added over $20 billion in July, driven by fresh capital raised through new fund offerings as well as a sharp rally in stock markets. The total asset under management (AUM) of the country’s fund houses rose to Rs 4,86,513 crore at the end of July, a jump of 21.5 per cent from Rs 4,00,333 crore a month ago, according to the latest data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI).

PS3 Sales Up by 135% Since Price Drop

Sony reveals that the PS3 sales have increased by more than 135 percent at the company’s top five retailers after the price was reduced to $499. This is mainly due to imprroed software and the price tag. In August many highly anticipated games such as Lair and Warhawk will be unvieled.

HD DVD Sales Continue To Grow Over Blu-ray

The HD DVD’s seem to lead in sales when compared to BluRay, BluRay sales seem to be declining. According to NPD reports, overall HD DVD hardware sales were up by 37% from Q1 to Q2 2007, while software sales experienced a 20% increase in growth which is a really good sign. But unfortunately the overall Blu-ray hardware sales have declined 27% from Q1 to Q2, and Blu-ray software sales declined by 5%. It’s not sure whether PS3 DVD sales are included in the above statistics.
