Why Apple released iPhone 4S instead of iPhone 5? And, Why you should stop Bragging about iPhone 5

Let’s dig and find out the Apple’s reason for releasing an iPhone 4S

Understanding the Apple iPhone market share:

Out of the total iPhone market share, 50% of iPhone owners have an iPhone 4 and the rest have previous generations. So, that makes it 70 million iPhone 4 users. According to the survey conducted by Apple, the non iPhone 4 users (around 70 million) are looking for upgrading their iPhones as they have almost paid off their contracts and dues and are eligible for upgrades.

Another interesting point to be considered is the Apple’s share in the smart phone market which is merely 5%. Apple is trying to target this share and capitalize on it. Apple tried to add more features to the iPhone 4 by keeping it at the same price so that non smart phone users who are looking to purchase their first smart phone will be attracted.
