How to Create a M3U Playlist with MP3s

A M3U file is a file that contains the list of filenames/filepaths of various music files located on your hard disk. The files may be MP3’s, WAV, etc. You can create your own M3U playlist file using various softwares such as Foobar, oddgravity, etc.

Well, you can also create a playlist manually. Here’s how you do it:

Firstly, open Notepad.

List the full path of each song one by one. For instance;
e:\songs\english\InTheEnd.mp3
e:\songs\english\Corona and Lime.mp3

and so on…

To get the exact path of the file you need to navigate to the music file and then copy the address from the address bar. This should be later pasted into this file.

Once you have pasted all the file paths of your favourite music, simply save the file as myplaylist.m3u
Next time you can simply click on the m3u file you previously created. It will play the songs in the list that you had entered.
