I remember my college days when I clicked photos of others notes with my cell phone which could be read with great difficulty. But, nevertheless it was a quick solution to Xeroxes right before exams. At least I could get them on my computer and read.

But, I wasn’t aware of a software known as Snapter. Snapter allows you to use a digital camera as a scanner. It automatically crops, stretches, flattens, and converts photos of documents, whiteboards, posters, business cards and receipts into portable images and PDF files.
For a detailed tutorial have a look at this page.
Snapter is available for free but after 14 days you’ll see a light watermark on the images. If you upgrade to the Full version then the watermark will disappear.
