How to Turn Aero On/ Off in a Single Click

I really love the Aero feature included in Vista, it’s fun and looks pretty eye candy as well. The only problem is that sometimes I feel the aero hogs lot of resources and sometimes the slow animation of opening and closing Windows is kinda annoying at times, especially when you’re really busy with some work. Well, depending upon your situation and work you can toggle on/ off easily. You don’t need to go to settings and get it done. Here’s an easy way to get it done with just a single click:

You need to create a On and a Off shortcut to turn Aero on/ off with a single click. Here’s how you do it:

Creating an Aero OFF shortcut:
Firstly, right click anywhere on your desktop screen
Now, in the menu click on ‘New’ & then click on ‘Shortcut’.
In Shortcut box type: Rundll32 dwmApi #104
Click on ‘Next’ and then click on ‘Finish’.

Creating an Aero ON shortcut:
Firstly, right click anywhere on your desktop screen
Now, in the menu click on ‘New’ & then click on ‘Shortcut’.
In Shortcut box type: Rundll32 dwmApi #105
Click on ‘Next’ and then click on ‘Finish’.

That’s it once the two shortcuts are created you can click on them to switch Aero On/ Off.
