AntiFreeze- Unfreeze Frozen Computer

You might have come across several instances where your computer stopped responding while you were working, playing games, watching movies, etc. Unfortunately you were helpless and ended up pressing the Ctrl + Alt +Del key but it didn’t seem to work and finally you pressed the Reset button. Well, pressing the reset button may be a temporary solution for this problem but is certainly not advisable.

So how does this happen? And what’s the solution for such a problem?
Computer freezes or hangs or remains unresponsive when programs consume too much CPU or too much memory or too many programs have been started. You might have been able to move your mouse on such a situation but you weren’t able to close any application even after pressing the Ctrl+Alt+Del key. The solution? There’s a software known as AntiFreeze which offers a last recourse when you find your computer unresponsive.

AntiFreeze is user friendly and consumes very little resources too. Once started in sits in the system tray. It offers an alternative task manager in a situation when your system doesn’t respond. If you don’t find the default task manager useful enough to end a task then you can bring up the AntiFreeze task manager (ALT+CTRL+WIN+HOME). AntiFreeze will suspend most of the running programs so they stop hogging your systems resources. It displays the CPU time consumed by each and every process. If a program has consumed lots of CPU time it is an indication it may have been responsible for locking up your system. You can terminate the offending program by clicking the ‘End Process’ button.
