Some of you might like to look into various startup programs information and find out what’s actually starting when Windows starts. Well, sometimes you might be unaware of certain programs starting up. You can cut them down to speed up your Windows start up. There’s a software- AutoRuns which allows you to do so. Apart from the startup program list, you can also view detailed information of each and every start up program.

It has the most comprehensive knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor. It shows you what programs are configured to run during system bootup, and shows you the entries in the order Windows processes them. These programs include ones in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other Registry keys. It also shows third-party auto-starting images that have been added to your system.
You can configure Autoruns to show other locations, including Explorer shell extensions, toolbars, browser helper objects, Winlogon notifications, auto-start services, and much more. It’s pretty user friendly and is just 526kb in size and works perfectly on Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP and Vista.
