How to Remove Start Button from Taskbar

Don’t like the XP start menu button in the taskbar? Is it consuming lot of space? Then let’s get rid of it. Well, I wouldn’t like removing it in Windows XP royale blue theme as it looks good. Even the Start menu button in the default theme looks good. But if you’re on the classic theme then you might prefer getting rid of it.

There’s a software known as Start Killer. It pretty small in size and freely available too. Using this tiny utility you can easily remove the start button from your taskbar. Once you start ’start killer’ it appears in the system tray and start button is removed. Well, if you want to open the start menu without the button you can do so by pressing the WIN key. To get the button back simply close Start Killer, you’ll find the button back in its place.
