How to get Detailed Technical and Tag Information of a Video File

Video files have several properties which aren’t displayed by just right clicking and selecting display properties. Such properties include video file details such as codec, aspect, fps, bitrate, encoded date, chapters, etc. Such details are essential if you are using the file for a particular device like cellphone, PMP, or maybe for converting purposes, etc. There’s a software known as MediaInfo which shows technical and tag information of a video or an audio file.

What information does MediaInfo show?
General: title, author, director, album, track number, date, duration…
Video: codec, aspect, fps, bitrate…
Audio: codec, sample rate, channels, language, bitrate…
Text: language of subtitle
Chapters: number of chapters, list of chapters

Using this software you can read various kinds of video and audio file details. Details can be viewed in text, sheet, tree, HTML, etc. You can also export the information as text, CSV or HTML.
