qttabbar does so much more than stated here. it, like folder guide, is an app i’d hate to be without.

I forget StExBar, great addon too.
Similar to “Standard Buttons” toolbar, but extended. You can have “New Folder” button, “Rename”, “Console”, “Selection mask”, Copy file path, Copy file name, Open selected file with “your app”(Notepad for example), Open app button etc.

You should also add MyExplorerBar to the list, it’s great, small, doesn’t use netframework, etc.

Im a big fan of: http://www.launchy.net

Basically, you hit ALT+ SPACE together, and type the first 3-4 letters of the application you want to open, and it auto completes, and you press enter.
I never enter the start bar anymore.

I really advise you give this small application a try.
