Most of the new bloggers try really hard to get comments in their blog posts. But they don’t really get enough of comments. It’s because majority of the people usually are mere readers and hardly a few of them are real contributors. I feel that the following points play an important role in increasing comments in your blog:Â

1. Brief and to the point:
The first thing I would like to say is make your post brief and short. Whatever may be the topic you are blogging about just make sure it doesn’t go too long. If it’s too long and goes a bit off topic the reader might just get bored and stop reading it.
2. Ask questions:
Whenever you blog about something just don’t end up your post without any questions. Make sure you ask your readers questions. You can ask either in the beginning of the post or at the end. This will tempt your readers to leave a comment in the post. This is a great way to get comments rolling in.
3. Invite comments:
In most of the cases usually the readers are not familiar with blogs. They might find it difficult to find the comment box or may not know how to use the comment feature. You can invite your readers after every post to comment. For instance you can say ‘leave your comment here’, ‘State your views’, etc.
4. Respond to comments:
I have seen that in some bloggers don’t respond to their comments. It’s very important for a blogger to respond to their comments. If they leave a question you can answer it. If they say thank you for your post you say welcome. It goes on like that. You can also thank your commenter’s for commenting on your blog. This creates a good feeling in the commenter and a good impression about you and your blog.
5. Simple and less complex comment box:
Some users normally don’t like to give their personal details, fill long forms, login to comment, etc. Make sure that you make the comment box simple and less complex, so that readers find it easy to use.
