Is Apple Tracking Your iPhone Usage Data?

Recently a few hidden strings were found in the Weather.app and Stocks.app iPhone applications. Whenever you access the Stock or Weather application the data is sent to an URL along with your IMEI, IP address and stock quote preferences. This clearly indicates that Apple is tracking its iPhone users usage data.

There could be several reasons behind this, it is possible that Apple is monitoring the purchases and sales of Apple stock or maybe trying to track the unlocked phones.

Hackers have found ways through which they send fake IMEI numbers. You can do it with the help of an hex-code editor but you might just end up losing your warranty if Apple catches you.
