Youtube will soon come up with HD videos. YouTube co-founder Steve Chen confirmed that YouTube was testing HD video. The first HD content on YouTube should be available within 3 months.
Youtube is currently facing some problems regarding HD videos. The biggest difficulty is the requirement of high speed broadband. Most of the countries don’t have high speed internet. Secondly they are trying not to have buffer times that drive away viewers, which is hard to do with limited bandwidth. Moreover it will be difficult to upload HD videos on slow connections. YouTube will also have to get good servers in order to host the HD videos which will be huge in size.
