If you are expecting a price cut just because prices of Xbox360 and PS3 have been cut then you better change your thought. There’s a bad news for all those who are waiting for a price cut on Wii as there won’t be any price cut in near future for Wii. Well the price cut is not really required for Wii at present as the prices of the Wii when compared to Xbox360 and PS3 are comparatively less. The Wii is currently priced at $249.99 in U.S.
Recently Nintendo President Satoru Iwata stated that the company won’t be reducing the price of Wii in near future.
“We’re still focusing on how to meet booming demand,” Iwata said Friday. “We’re absolutely not considering a price cut.” He said Nintendo was producing 1.8 million Wii consoles per month but that a supply crunch was inevitable during the holiday gift-buying season.
