“Indian Idol” contest creates trouble
Indian Idol has inflamed regional rivalries and sparked violence in the country’s troubled northeast, after a closely contested final round.
A total of Seventy million votes were casted. Shortly after the winner was announced, supporters of Paul attacked Nepalese in Shillong town, capital of Meghalaya. At least five people were hurt.
