PS3 Sales Up by 135% Since Price Drop

Sony reveals that the PS3 sales have increased by more than 135 percent at the company’s top five retailers after the price was reduced to $499. This is mainly due to imprroed software and the price tag. In August many highly anticipated games such as Lair and Warhawk will be unvieled.

There will be other games such as GTAIV, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, and many other will be revealed in October. This will increase PS3’s demand to a great extent.

For that matter even the PSP sales have gone up by 31% year-over-year, selling 290,108 units at retail, while PlayStation 2 once again remained one of the best-selling consoles on the market, with unit sales of 270,763 for in May.
